Editorial Policy

Editorial Policy

Most regional titles sell features. Saying we do not is a real differentiator — and we protect it by stating it publicly, here and on page 23 of every issue.

Rule 01

Features are free

Business leaders and influencers alike. No fee, no exception, either direction — coverage cannot be bought and cannot be withheld for payment.

Rule 02

Selection is editorial

Decided on merit only, against the criteria published on our Get Featured page.

Rule 03

Paid placement is separate

If someone pays, it is labelled Partner Content and it is never called a feature. The distinction is visible on the page itself, not buried in a footer.

Rule 04

Fairness rule

The same standard applies to a founder with 50 staff and a creator with 500,000 followers.

Sourcing standard

Every factual claim must be traceable to a named public source. No fabricated quotes, ever. We never imply an interview took place unless it did, and any interview is disclosed as such. If a figure cannot be verified before publication, we describe the direction rather than print a number we cannot stand behind — “issuance ran well above the monthly average” is safer, and just as useful, as a precise figure we cannot support.

Corrections policy

Errors are corrected visibly, not quietly edited away. A correction notice is appended to the affected article with the date and nature of the change. This mirrors the FT’s approach: visible sourcing and a published corrections trail are what defuse the “who owns this magazine” question before a reader has to ask it.

Conflicts of interest

Astor Review is an Amigoz Group publication. Where a story concerns a business connected to Amigoz Group or its founders, the connection is disclosed prominently on the same page, and the piece is written and framed as news — not as an award or an endorsement. Undisclosed conflicts are not run, in any form.
